Suno Revenue and Usage Statistics (2026)

When Apple launched GarageBand, it promised a full band in your pocket. Suno has taken that a step further with the help of generative artificial intelligence, giving anyone access to an entire production studio on demand.

The app, launched in Cambridge, Massachusetts by four ex-Kensho AI employees, released an open-source text-to-audio model on Github in 2023 called Bark, which got the attention of people in the industry as a new media type to be reimagined through AI.

By 2024, Suno had its own app and subscription service. The free version lets users create a limited number of four-minute songs, using text prompts to develop the sound. The subscription gives users the ability to generate more sounds, and publish those sounds commercially.

It has quickly grown to be the most used generative AI music service, which has been helped by the big names staying out of music creation. OpenAI is reportedly working on one, but given how much regulatory trouble Suno and its rival Udio are both involved in, it may be a while before that becomes publicly available.

Suno has been in regulatory trouble since it launched its app in 2024, with the major music labels and several indie labels suing the platform for infringement of copyright. While it doesn’t appear Suno or any of these other platforms will go the way of Napster and LimeWire, it seems unlikely that these labels will allow them to operate without getting a major cut of the action, similar to how they dealt with Spotify and other music streamers a decade ago.

We have collected data and statistics on Suno. Read on below to find out more.
